We were originally going to another place around the corner but their kitchen was closing early so we stumbled upon Hillman and we were so happy with the unexpected detour. The vibe is really cool both inside and outside. The beers are really good and liked their cider too. It's cool that they make their own cider and hard seltzer. The food was really good and it's definitely a place I would return next time I'm in town. Bartenders were really friendly and the food came out super fast. It was amazing to hear about how much hurricane damage they had and how they rebuilt so quickly. Definitely go support them!
Hillmans is OPEN! They were affected by the hurricane and thought they may not open back up. Apparently 2.5 months later up and running. The atmosphere is relaxed and they have good food. Usually our first stop when we come to Asheville but this time, on our way home when we heard they we open. Good beer and good food.
Was recommended by a staff member at Biltmore. Did not disappoint. Ordered a flight and Cuban sandwich. Excellent beer. Fantastic sandwich. Sat outside. Peaceful next to the water. Even got to pet a dog! Win win. Everything I was hoping for.
Hillman has great food, drinks, and ambiance. They have the perfect set up for both indoor and outdoor seating. We choose to sit where we could see the creek and enjoy the outdoor setting. I loved how many different beers they had, and the food was good too! I would suggest getting the burger and fries over the rice bowl, and the pimiento cheese was delicious!
Super cool brewery that also serves delicious food. They have a large indoor tasting room as well as a nice outdoor patio. The beer was very tasty, I had an IPA that was true to the style and very good. I had the rice bowl with mojo pork. Open until 10 or 11pm.
Met a co worker for lunch. We were greeted by a very bubbly person , Emily who made us feel so welcome. She was a very attentive and made sure we were not rushed. It was sunny but very windy so we sat inside. You order at the bar and they will bring your food out to you. Of course we each had a beer both tasty. fFor lunch I had the club sandwich and my friend had the chicken sandwich both came with homemade chips. Both meals were also good and tasty. Forgot to take pics of food Definitely recommend this brewery. We will return.
Hillman was a highlight of our time in Asheville! The Hill and Oats I had was tasty, but the food was almost more impressive! It's not common to find a brewery that can nail beer AND food, but they certainly did! We ordered the Buffalo and Falafel wraps and they were delicious!! Service was very kind! And atmosphere was chill! Great space for dogs too!
